Ratatat Wants to Party and Bullshit

Notorious B.I.G. – Party and Bullshit (Ratatat Remix)

Ratatat Remixes Vol. 2

I’m not really sure who I should attribute the awesomeness of this track to.  But, since I’ll probably get back around to The Notorious B.I.G. eventually, I’ll go with Ratatat on this one.  They are a New York based electronic duo consisting of Mike Stroud on guitars and Evan Mast as producer, synthesizer, and bass player.  They’ve released three LP’s through XL Recordings, Ratatat, Classics, and LP3. They’ve also self-released two remix compilations entitled Ratatat Remixes Vol. 1 & 2. Most recently however, they produced two tracks for Kid Cudi’s album Man on the Moon: The End of Day, entitled Alive and Pursuit of Happiness.

The track of the day, Party and Bullshit, comes off of Ratatat Remixes Vol. 2. You’re going to love this fresh and exciting reinterpration of this hip-hop classic.  Ratatat’s unmistakable sound meshes so well with Big’s flow.  They have not only done Biggie justice, but proved why he’s still more than relevant today and will always be the greatest who ever lived.  Enjoy!
